As we try to help couples be more considerate of one another, we often refer to taking the high road. It seems obvious that one should speak respectfully to their partner and not kick them when they are down. Unfortunately, it seems easier to be biting and sarcastic rather than loving and thoughtful. We are all so busy and exhausted that we are short with our partner often shaming and blaming. Reverse the trend. Become more conscious and intentional of how you treat your spouse. If you have nothing nice to say, it is better to say nothing at all.
