Some folks just don’t get it. They complain that they do not feel close to their partner, but they are always looking for the most efficient strategy. Part of maintaining contact and involvement is spending time together. Trading off, “You drop the kids off while I do the food shopping,” though “efficient” represents divide and conquer and limits the amount of time together. Efforts at being efficient often lead to separateness and loneliness in relationships. Do not have a virtual relationship. Try doing some things together. Rediscover shared moments rather than staying connected by cell phone.
