Couples want to improve their relationship yet a fundamental aspect is honoring one another. Not putting the relationship on the back burner and expecting it to prosper but rather nurturing the relationship so it can flourish. A good place to start is by acknowledging holidays like birthdays, Valentine’s Day, and most important, your anniversary. Too many people say, “Oh that’s just a Hallmark holiday,” or “We’ve agreed not to do anything for each other on our anniversary.” Why not? You get out of it what you put into it and a good beginning is by celebrating the day you got married. Not celebrating speaks volumes.
